  • Querstion about stealership's

Sewell wants to charge me $210 for "fuel induction service" this service includes: clean throttle body, intake manifold, and intake valves of carbon deposits. For $210, are they just gonna spray that shit down with some carb fluid?!
They also want to "clean fuel injectors" for $150. It is my understanding that to properly clean an injector, it needs to be removed. Are they gonna just dump some shit in my gas tank and let it run its course?
They gave me a print out of all the shit they want to do, they always do and i usually do it myself so im wondering if all this cleaning BS is what i think it is, just spraying some shit down and dumping some fuel injector cleaner in my tank. thanks bro.

I would ask the what their procedures are to clean these items, then ask to be present while the work is done to ensure its done as explained. If they have a problem with that, they are probably blowing smoke up your ass...

              Says the union labor man...

Did you miss the part where he said he usually takes what they say needs to be done and does it himself?

According to the first post they'll prob just pour a can of Sea Foam through it.

Cadillac srx . I asked if they were gonna do the wires too , for that price or the damn coil packs. Nope, just plugs.
I can get them for 5.99ea. at oreily. They tried to charge me $250 for a fog light. I replaced the bulb for 99 cents.

I was thinking an f-body or something with half the motor under the dash. But the Caddy is fairly easily to do, no?
