There's a huge issue somewhere... that car should be around 260-270.

Something is off big time. Either the tune, or the timing on the cams.

Ouch Tim, that sucks. Sorry about the low numbers. All you can do is make sure the basics are right. Meaning, are the cams timed properly, cylinder pressures, spark plug gaps, fuel pressure, filter condition - literally, the mechanical basics.

If that all checks out, then I would have a shop perform a real tune on it. If Brooks is unable to do one, I would try HPP or True Street, whichever is more convenient for you.

If you want it fixed correctly, take it to Brooks or HPP.

That's very low and I bet anything it's the tune. I would get a custome tune for it and Truestreet does a great job.

Does the car have a timing adjuster on it?

It felt REAL sluggish, like it lacked a LOT of oomph down low, and it was just dead at 5500 or so. I tend to think that the cams are too much for it, or there's something jacked in the tune.

no timing adjuster. I think there is something mechanically wrong. It has a hesitation/stuttering while cruising around anything below 2000rpm. After researching it I tend to think it may be EGR related, I think its the original EGR Valve from the old motor and who knows how many miles it has. I'll swap it out tonight.

The car has new plugs(Motorcraft), spark plug wires(FMS), and coil packs (MSD). Plugs are a month old and wires and coils are less then a year. I'e also read a few people having issues with the injector harness being just loose enough to cause issues like mine but not cause any codes or serious problems. I don't have any codes currently, not that it matters.

I would hate to think the cams are too much for the motor, they aren't that big from what I understand. After I get the new Ford intake manifold, C&L plenum, 75mm TB, and new EGR Valve I'll look to get it tuned locally.
