  • Need injector hook up on the worst effing truck ever built

Finally, the truck has pushed me over the edge. I bought an 07 F250 Lariat FX4, black with silver stripe, prettiest damned truck around. And now I'm finally convinced the son of a bitch is possessed. I've driven it a total of 41,000 miles, and have already had to spend over $12000 in repairs.

First it was a turbo valve, dealership. Then had that cocksucker Mike Green (not the board Mike Green) stud the heads, oil cooler, egr delete.

Second, the right rear caliper hung on the inside, couldn't see it, ruined the rotor and caliper when it blew out. Had to replace all four wheels.

Third, the alternator fucked up and blew the batteries. Replaced all three.

Fourth, the transmission went out. Rebuilt that.

Fifth, the transmission blew out again after 3000 miles.

Sixth, the head gaskets blew again.

Seventh, had to repair the FICM.

Eigth, an injector goes bad. Replaced it.

Ninth, same injector goes to shit. Replaced it again.

Tenth, most recently, all eight fucking injectors are dead in it right fucking now because I evidently got bad fuel at Walmart in Wylie. I pulled my last receipts and they are both labeled diesel.

If I replace these injectors with new I will be over $15000 in repairs on a truck that I have owned for barely a year and a half. Counting the $1300 a set tires, fuel, payments, insurance and all it would be safe to say that this truck is costing me $3 a mile to drive.

I need a set of cheap injectors for an 07 6.0 so that I can get it running and trade it in. It's at the mechanics shop and I've already pulled my shit out of it. Going straight to the dealership when I pick it up.

Has exhaust, SCT tuner, egr delete, studded heads, oil cooler, new brakes, new alternator, new batteries, pretty new tires, new shocks, upgraded speakers, all kinds of shit on it.

FUCK THIS TRUCK! I have never seen such a damned piece of fucking shit! So pissed off right now it's not even funny.

Ficm bad? Common failure and the alternator problem could have begun damaging it.

I had the ficm repaired a couple of months ago. Forgot to list that above.

What is infuriating to me is had I spent the money on repairs on paying it off, I would be even right now. Still owe $14 and change on it. Has a whole 123xxx miles on it.

Now I'm pretty much going to be forced to go another 10k in debt just to get out of this piece of shit.

I don't know what mechanic shop it's at, but you seem to have it at the wrong place. We buy and sell over 200 6.0's a year, my two dealer friends buy just as many or more and we all use the same guy. He's the best I've ever met for these trucks.

Anyways, eBay is your best bet.

He'd hate a 7.3 after having a tuned 6.0, they are turds. He would also hate the pile of shit known as a dodge after having a Ford truck. There is literally no comparison in quality.

The 6.0 is a lot stronger than people realize there are just areas that need to be addressed.

Mike, I thought you had a shitty tune when I was down last year, I stand by that. As far as alternator, batteries, and other parts in the electrical system that's just bad luck/timing. The trans, injectors and related issue could be symptomatic of a really shitty tune.

Plus, you have no clue how that thing was driven. Mine looked damn near brand new with 190k on the clock, but had a heavy load hooked to it for 150k of those. I'd imagine someone in the oilfield, or some kid owned it before you that beat on it as hard as you do

My buddy has a 6.0 and the whole time he's had it (since new) it has had one issue after another. Only thing he hasn't replaced on it is the engine itself. 7.3's are reliable, strong running trucks without all the issues.

The interior of the Dodge's may not be the best but my 5.9 has been great to me, the only thing I had to do is replace the front suspension and I haven't had any problems with it since. She goes anywhere and pulls anything.

FUCK another diesel. That page is turned.

Sean, believe it or not I've babied the shit out of it since the last go round on head gaskets. The truck is just fucking possessed.

Just got off the phone with Ford, who is setting me up a pin on x plan. If y'all know anyone that can help me get the most out of this piece of shit at the dealership please let me know.

The 6.0 I just bought gave the previous owner trouble. It has a new turbo, new shortblock, new trans, studded, deleted, blah blah blah.

I may try out a Cummins next

I had a 24v with a six speed manual in an 03 3500. Truck was beautiful on the outside, total piece of shit on the inside. That said, loved that engine and transmission, only had to replace the idler pully on it in about 60k miles. Other than that BOTH front bearings went out at 118k. Those, at jobber cost, were over $500 each, plus store markup and labor that was almost a $4000 job. Luckily I was able to do them myself, as I was a shop service manager at the time.

Word! I love a sick 0 but I will stay with my 7.3 untill I have made my mind up on the new powerplant. I was warned to stay away from them because I would want one if I test drove one lol. Also, Try Diesel Dynamics in Joshua, Green Bullet works there.
