        Hahaha ..

Yeah, about right .. they make shit and someone has to pay $1000.00 to fix it

and, of course .. they exhaust will need to be repaired on my dime, and then no warranty when the engine dies ..

I know it's not the "cool" thing to do, but if you set the cruise at 60 mph you will get very good mpg. I get 21-23 mpg on the highway with this setting. Once I get in the city it does fall off and I avg around 17.5-18.

Put a trailer with a car on it behind the truck and it does get a bit worse....around 12-13 mpg.

All that being said, I do like my truck. I also have the ecoboost in my Ford Edge and that thing is pretty quick for what it is. The mpg is a bit to be desired in the city though.

Sucks to hear about your truck, I hope you can get it fixed.

WTF Id send it back in drive with a brick on the gas pedal right through the show room floor!

Didn't know the Eco-boosts were having these issues. I had heard they weren't making advertised mileage, but not this. Maybe the dealer will trade you into a v8 truck to fix the issue.

On paper, I see no reason to choose ecoboost over 5.0.

Ummmmm, we're looking at an intercooler, not a radiator.

That's reasonable. I looked at them pretty hard, but just couldnt justify the cost for the "I want a new truck" over what I already have.

Looks like they also changed the intercooler on the 2013's, this is probably the biggest "fix".

On our 2011 it threw a check engine code for driver side cat. I did some research...there is a tsb that if the 2011 ecoboost throws that code Ford automatically gives you a new cat, new inter cooler, and updated tune. The original tunes were running way too rich. People claim to get much better gas mileage after this is done. We just got ours back today. It took 2 months for the inter cooler to come in (major back order). As long as you are under 70,000 miles it should all be under warranty. ( If you read warranty book... all emissions including turbos and inter cooler system are under the 7yr/70k warranty).
