repairing connector

I have an 89 gt fox body and my maf sensor connector is corroded to shit and the pins are not making a tight connection to the sensor causing it to idle like garbage and miss fire in the intake. I know its the connector for sure cause when i push the connector and the sensor together everything works right. Iv started to take the connector apart by removing the red retaining clip but cant seem to make it any further, the pins seem to be locked in there by some mechanism. How do i get these pins out? is there a tool? any knowledge would be awesome. thanks guys.
