Good job man. Hopefully you get some decent times out of it and it lasts a while.

Why does it need to be tuned so bad? I know a bunch if hci foxes running for years with a stock tune.

Yeah, unfortunately a wide band only reads one bank, I have it on the 5-8 bank.

I've Said it before, I believe that was from the wet shot into stock manifold.

Ford didn't intend for fuel to be put through that upper intake.

My car, with a set of GT40X heads, a B cam and a cobra intake was lean according to Manny's dyno, there's no telling how long it was ran like that, and no telling how long it would have lasted, but tunes are a lot cheaper than an engine if it pops. Cheap insurance.

I'm not really sure how tunes are "cheap insurance."

Far as I know, if your shit blows after a tuner messes with it, they don't fix it.

                      That ain't insurance.

If nothing else, I am yet to see a car with a good proper tune that does not perform better, AFTER the tune. My 95 with hci picked up 3/10 after it was tuned. Any driveability flukes were worked out and the car drove better then ever. Why deal with a car that might die at a stoplight, or smells terribly of fuel, or throttle response is lacking? Spend a couple hundred dollars and finish up that project. Yes 10+ years ago cars ran probably ok, but with todays technology, why not make it perfect?

My car now with a stroker motor, injectors with a matching maf ran fine, afr was good, minimal surging, would rarely die etc. After a tune it picked up almost 30 hp to the tires, I have 0 surging, it has never died.
