  • Light scratches on windshield.

I just bought a used civic. It has really light scrape marks from someone having crappy wipers on it. You can't feel them, but they won't come off. I scrubbed the heck out of it, used polish ect, the marks are there. Any way to get them off or should I just go buy a new windshield? I didn't notice them until I drove at night, where all the lights are drawn out across the window which is annoying.

I have heard of people using the fine steel wool to "buff" their windshields. I have never done it personally though

sounds like you'll have to deal with it or buy a new piece of glass.

If it won't polish out, not much you can do but replace it.

A dedicated glass polish and a porter cable type buffer with foam cutting pad is your best bet. If not, you've got to replace it.
