are you talking about the studs that hold the pulley/fan on or the bolt/studs that bolt the water pump and timing cover on. I'm assuming the pulley, if so use regular bolts with a lock and flat washer since you run an electric fan.

if you're at work pull a pump off the shelf and match a bolt up to meet your needs. Should be 5\16 I'm pretty sure, just not sure if course or fine thread. If it's the pump\timing cover stuff you need, O'Reilly's should have it in the help section.

Over at stangnet many of em told me copper is the best. Said they don't leak and are the answer to all the other crappy gaskets.

Maybe I have the wrong ones? They're mr gasket 7161. Ports holed are a lot bigger. Maybe the issue?

use either the percy aluminum gaskets or the felpro 1415. as for the bolts, order the latemodel resto kit. it will be your best bet.

Clean them with a wire brush.

Went with the 1415s, going to use spray copper on them.

Not the immediate solution your looking for,
but something to consider for your next project,
                          complete polished bolt kits.

scroll to pg.2 for WP Stud bolts / pg.12 for EFI SBF kits

                            This.

I also really like these Mr.Gasket header bolts.

They are 1" long compared to stock 3/4" long. More clamping force so less likely to back out. You'll need 2 packs since they come with 12 and you need 16. I'm running these on my '92 with BBK longtubes for 3 years now and haven't had to retighten any of them. FYI, O'Reilly's sells them.
