  • Header gaskets and water pump studs

Anywhere local I can get a set of water pump studs? I'm sure a nut and bolt store will have some, but trying to save the time of matching stuff up!

Also, what header gasket would you guys recommend? Like a tard I tried using the copper ones and they suck.

I'm thinking a stock set would do just fine. Thoughts?

The port big enough? I imagine so, but don't want any chances!

Actually you might have to go bigger I cant remember

try felpro 1487 I think the number is.

        typed wrong number double checked.

edit: yea just saw the port size haha. I am pretty sure OEM size will work as AFR 165s use the 1415. Spray it with the permatex copper.

Latemodel resto has the water pump bolt kit. But your local hardware store will be your quickest way to go.

Damn, I'll have to see if they carry the sizes I need. They didn't have any studs long enough for my throttle body.

                  Anyone know the thread pitch?

Regular bolts may be the easiest thing.

Stainless would be the ideal bolt material?

There's a place in Denton that only sells nuts and bolts.

Support my local small businesses and ill go there. Better service too!

Napa has water pump bolts for about 10$. It's not the full set but just the oddball long bolts and studs.
