97 GT, gas tank grommet installation

I know you can undo the tube and go that route, but i think it will be easier to just drop the tank. When you drop the tank what all do you need to undo? The tank obviously only has to move a little bit, is there enough extra line to just slide it over?

Once you undo the gas tank straps and the little brace for the fill tube you can slide it over and down. The only thing that needs to be taken off is the EVAP line once the tank has dropped down a little bit.

I bet it did, the fill tube generally goes in a pretty decent way.

had to loosen the tube completely and drop the tank and still hag problems getting it all aligned!

they are not much fun, I've done several between pump swaps, tank swaps, leaking grommets, etc.
