I'm afraid you're missing something somewhere else. The cam/firing order will only affect 4 cylinders like I said before. I assume you're running 19 pound injectors, stock maf, etc. Is the coolant temp sensor plugged in, if it's not the computer will default to coldest temp @ -40 I believe and this will force the computer to run really really rich

stock injectors, maf. coolant sensor plugged in....may swap to a newer one.

are there other cam firing order.....like are there different cams other then ho firing order and non ho firing order.

Youll figure it out man. If you have fuel/spark you should get fire.

At this point are you sure you installed the cam correctly.

slide it in.....line the dots on the timing set point to each other. didnt think there was any other way....

if im swapping a cam it will be toward end feb.....was hoping to have this car done this weekend cuz i have 3 cars inline to get in my driveway to be worked on.....this ones is taking up my only work space.

if the timing chain set only had 1 key way then that sounds right. If it's an adjustable timing set, then there would have been 3 key ways minimum to choose from and you have to align the corresponding marks

If you have Fuel & Spark. Its something simple. I was thinking the Starter Solinoid or maybe try a different Dist

only had one key...was a stock replacement set.

if its the dist....would i still be getting spark at the plug? i know im getting spark at #1.....tested that.
