ok here it goes in a nutshell

    87 mustang 5.0 t5

    got spark.

got fuel pressure now (thanks seb)

    fresh fuel filter

got the timing set to tdc on the compression stroke.

got the ho firing order in place.

also fresh set of plugs in it as well

........still wont start........cranks but no start.

    wth am i missing.

on side note its making this werid sound when cranking like almost sounds like water in jugs moving. and its sounds like its trying to start..

just swapped in motor, regasketed the engine. torque to correct specs....took my time doing it.

stabbed the dizzy how i always do....take 1 sp out.... turn engine til compression starts...holding thumb over sp hole.....gets right to tdc at 1. stabbed get it pointing to number....tight it down til timing is ready to be set by light.

how do i check to make sure the injectors are firing...... i know the number one plug has fuel on it when i took it out to make sure i was in tdc and all.

noid light or a 194 bulb (cheater noid) in injector socket

if the plug is wet, its compression or timing. I say timing.

you said you used the ho firing order. you sure you used the correct rotation of order?

                  held to floor while cranking....nothing.

how do i spray the stuff in with the maf.......car is mass converted with the ford racing kit.....done before my ownership.

how can i tell compression...i dont have a gauge to do so...i can hear the air moving when im cranking......and gotta put some effort into the crank by hand part....so in know im fighting the in compression stroke,

spray directly in tb. no maf needed for test

cam was pulled from a 92 mustang 5.0....was a regrind since that motor was rebuilt...droped in a e cam in that motor when i built it....this one was here so i used it to get her running.

i also tried the older firing order just to incase.....still same...no start, just crank.

timing needs to be retarded if backfiring through the tb
