  • Anyone use FAST fuel injection harness?

    I am about to begin my 302 Explorer motor swap into my 1951 Ford. I have searching for a fuel injection harness for it. Painless makes one, but the FAST harness looks like an easy install. Part number is 302000. I was wondering if anyone has used one. It is very basic and won't take up a lot of room. I installed the fuel injection harness in my fairmont, but I won't use that one again.

      This is the one I was looking at using in my 63.
      07 GT500
      05 SRT10
      88 turbocoupe T-bird
      93 Cobra
      86 coupe
      Ducati 848

        Buy junkyard harness for a Ford EFI 87-93/95 and bulk wire. Build it yourself. You will be much happier with it.

              I bought 4 or 5 EFI Injector harnesses and at least 3 ECU 60pin harnesses and had them shipped to my office in Afghanistan. I broke out a needle from the medics and a small small screw driver from our mechanics. I stripped all the connectors off and cleaned them up. I broke out a wire diagram on the internet and designed my own on Power Point. Ordered roughly 60 different wire colors plus real good expandably nylon loom and heat shrink then started to build my own harness, all in Afghanistan still. Got home and dropped it right in and only had to change a few wires on the ECU harness. I did modify they EFI harness further though with Duetsch bulk head barrel connectors.
              Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

                If you're using a 96 or up engine, you may want to look into the Ron Francis mg 91e kit, designed for the distributor less engines. That's what will eventually go into my 69 f150.

                  They aren't complicated. I got the harness that is in the fairmont from a friend cheap. He bought it from The Detail Zone. It was overly made with a big fuse panel and lots of extra wiring. That FAST harness looks very basic although not cheap at all.

                      Here's an article on it which looks intriguing. I am not looking for tons of power. I just want a reliable everyday driver. I am tired of that car sitting.

                        Ron Francis stuff is very nice and very well engineered, no doubt. It is a good bit of money for anything from them though.

                        I wished I was home, I have tons upon tons of wire, Ford EEC-IV pins, connectors, and loom left over. Would love to help but I won't be home for any real amount of time until October 5th this year.
