I'm sure I'm not the norm on here by saying this but I've always just hit the surface lightly with a 36 grit pad on pneumatic angle grinder, just don't get carried away. Never had an issue with 10+ swaps. But it's whatever, your choice.

Oh and don't forget the dowel pins lol

Wait, I don't think this is the right guy.

Hey guys I've been searching for a DFW Mustang group/forum for a while now and found this site just a few minutes ago and thought I'd introduce myself. I drive a 1998 Mustang GT Pacific Green with 86,XXX original miles. I've owned 3 other Mustang GT's in the past as well as a '99 F-150 XLT 5.4L Ext. Cab so I guess you can say

Well got it done. Woke up at 4am Saturday drove down to Temple and got there at 7:30 tore into the second I got there and finished around 4:30.
The throw out bearing was fucked wouldn't spin at all you had to put alot of pressure on it before it would even move, and the pilot bearing was seized.
                            Here are pictures.

                            Resurfaced

Car drove great once it was done, managed to drive 315 miles before having to full up
