  • IAC Delete ?

    Other than the delete plate,
    what else is needed? Anyone here done this? tia

    I think thats it other then adjustment of the idle screw on the TB so the car idles where you want it.

      Why?

      I figure a iacv is s nice thing to have, unless the application isn't equipped with that feature.

        robert nothing else needed. Just adjust blade and tps needed

            Ok. Can someone enlighten me as to the reasoning behind this? Never heard of it before and I am now curious.

            Will the car surge or have and performance issues?

            What is gained??

              Nothing is gained, it seems like some backwoods carb tuning crap..

              Jk..

              I'm curious as to why someone would want this.

                          Its really only needed for cold starts.. and bump idle rpm when a/c is on.

                              There are some that do this delete to get rid of the infamous surging idle issue that has always plagued mustangs. But I'm not sure how getting rid of the iac solves this issue.

                              Supposedly getting rid of the iac and then tuning the iac out of the EEC will solve the surging idle.
