  • Custom stainless exhaust install?

Am wrapping up my 70 Mach 1 project and I think I want to go stainless underneath. Is there a good shop in Dallas (or preferably south Dallas) that you guys have used? Car is 351c with Sanderson shorties and is painted bottom side and I'd sure like them to keep it nice during the install.
Handyman, classic car and antique jukebox collector/restorer, and all around good guy.

yup, so I have heard. I have read several accounts where guys bought expensive mandrel formed kits and still paid substantial cash to their shop to install because it had to be modified. I know it will be expensive, am just trying to avoid that scenario although havent ruled it out.

Get ready to spend the cash at the shop.

Are you planning on buying the kit and paying someone to install it, or are you wanting to just take it somewhere and drop it off and have them build it all ?

Going to be expensive but I would hit up Brooks or Matt (from the fab section)

I would give Brooks a call.

Yes, i know it will be pricey. I was considering both options as I know there are probably fewer shops that stock bare stainless tube for fabrication.

I doubt you will find anyone that will mandrel bend stainless tubing.. Most guys who do stainless exhaust just buy straight sections and elbows and cut it all to fit.

That's what we've always done at my dad's shop.

I just use madrel bends and weld them together.
