Why? I'm saying it will have to have a tune. I don't think it would even run without having the correct transfer rate for the maf.

I've done everything right except for a custom dyno tune. I guess back in the day before dyno tuning people were blowing up everywhere.
Back then guys with setups that lasted didn't just slap parts together, and assume that everything is performing as intended. There are alot of varibles in getting a motor to perform properly, and even moreso to get a motor to perform optimally. Even with a tune it's necessary to monitor what's going on, shit happens that is well beyond the computer's control.

9333 PT1 AS others have said.. A 1011 anything can blow me.. Couldn't give me them so called performance pos's. But like some others said i guess the several 302 blocks we split with head gaskets still in good shape just were a fluke.

I'm not going to run head gaskets.. Just one less thing to worry about blowing.

No, I drove it around after changing the plugs. It's fine and bubbles only come up at the cap when the thermostat opens, and the engine is warm.

I recalibrated the wide band and it reads 14.5AFR for the first few mintues and then reads 13.8AFR and smells rich. I'm thinking it's the o2 placement change with the longtubes.

I have everything on it's way to get it all done.

Bosch, they came with the longer wire leads already. It's an alternate part number at AZ, there's standard length and extended length, kept me from having to make my own extensions.

The wideband is innovate lc1 which uses a oem VW Bosch wideband o2.
