    Tunes are over rated.

    A tune doesn't proof an engine, nor will the tuner take responsibility if it blows up.

    There was no knocking, and his wideband was showing 12:1 on the juice. It's in my opinion his head gasket was shit to begin with, as exhaust is pushed out the radiator with the cop off. The nitrous just finished it off, and created a nice vacuum leak to let unmetered air into the cylinder. His headers could have played into it as well though...

    No tune would have saved that.

    < ran 3 bottles of laughing gas on stock tune
    <6-7 degrees over stock timing, 12.8:1 afr across the board with disabled knock sensors n/a

        So just to clear something up, my understanding is there has always been some type of pressure in the radiator system beyond normal, which would signal a potential head gasket failure?

        And instead of fixing that problem, he decides to put nitrous on the car, and now is melting plugs, has no tune, AFR issues, and just replaces the plugs and thinks its good??

        That about it in a nutshell?



        I am with Rick. I will just sit back and wait for the real "BOOM" because at this rate, it isn't a matter of "IF", but "WHEN".....
