I ran an 11.6 on that on some drag radials at only 113 though.

He's got a '93 coupe he bought brand new, that runs extremely well. He and his brother both know their stuff, through experience. My point is he's not just talking out his ass.

It would have if it had slicks on it. It was a 7.39 pass and it had gone 7.18.

I think it needed less gear. Stock motor with spray makes a lot of torque down low but not much power in the upper rpm.

It does have a lot of gear, especially street driving right now with that trans. 1st gear is nearly useless and it's turning close to 3000 at highway speeds. Still contemplating an AOD swap.

I've see several n/a 306 cars run in the 10s.

One even has a stock short block. Tfs heads, Ed Curtis cam and holley systemax + supporting mods. 335/335 to the wheels. 2600lbs. Low 10s at 110+ I'll have to find it on corral for the exact numbers.

                  Not impossible, not easy either.
Have you looked into what it takes to get to that weight?

He is probably only a couple hundred pounds off from 26xx and still has stock k member and iron heads.

I'm sure yours would have been deep into the 11's with slicks. My red 86 that I raced you in went a 11.3 in the quarter a few weeks after me and you raced.

I wonder if I had bought a kit like you had if it would have gone a little faster than it did. 11.3 is really quick for a basically bone stock motor.

I'm at 2740 right now with ponys, stock k member/suspension and stock iron heads and all the crash bumpers ect..

                          Seems reasonable.
