True, just been thinking. Ls swap, or built dart sbf.

The thought of a nasty 306 or bigger has been weighing really heavy. I'd like to go low 10s n/a and add a power adder or 2 on top of that. Should make for something decent.

Just all a bunch of money... I need a better job to keep up with my day dreaming.

It doesn't happen overnight. Enjoy what you're running and set some aside every week and have some goal of a new motor and tranny for next year's winter project.

Just remember what your car can hold and don't push the nitrous too hard, and have fun with it for a season.

So your "broke ass" is willing to spend money over and over on the same parts when shit breaks because the parts can't handle your goals?

Save up, spend the money once. Buy everything in pieces, or like Yale said, stack pennies then buy it all at once.

            You'll need more than a 306 to run 10's.

...and doing so in his only car is simply assinine.

I'd rather have another engine to build on the stand too. Get it all ready to go. Swap it in. Then you have your original motor as a backup.

                    I beg to differ.

And you guys need to realize my eyes are always open to a daily driver. Come income tax time hopefully some will be for sale.

I've see several n/a 306 cars run in the 10s.

One even has a stock short block. Tfs heads, Ed Curtis cam and holley systemax + supporting mods. 335/335 to the wheels. 2600lbs. Low 10s at 110+ I'll have to find it on corral for the exact numbers.

                    Not impossible, not easy either.

Low 10's sounds pretty crazy for just those mods na. Even at 2600 lbs. (good luck getting 2600 lbs. Btw)

It ran low 10s at 110mph?

YouTube vibrant93. His 306 made around 390 rwhp and ran a 10.8 at 122. 5 speed coupe like you. Even the same color.
