Yep. Far better than any gasket you are going to find and a lot cheaper too.

And yes you have to tighten the bolts every now and again. Not a big deal though.
I haven't had too. I used the bolts with the lock wires.

Same here. I use them on my 68 and my 90. Great product.

Use 1" header bolts and usually you have hell getting the damn headers to break loose when you are ready to remove them. I learned about using Ultra Copper RTV from another Mustang guy who was big into turbos and had trouble getting manifolds to seal up.

Damn about once every 2 months I go out there when I start to hear a slight exhaust leak and I am able to tighten one with my fingers that has backed off haha. I have a 7/16ths wrench that has a grinded down open end so it is easy to tighten them up compared to normal so I don't mind.

I was just meaning with the BBKs I have had to tighten them up not due to the copper rtv. When I installed mine I used a gasket with just a tad of copper rtv coated on it if I remember correctly. I had a terrible time with hooker longtubes and tightening them up in high school on the backside near the firewall on my Camaro (might have been warped idk), so I made sure I would be good to go with these.

Autozone has some multilayer aluminum gaskets that I use on headers. They work great. flame me if need be. And when you do remove them they come off clean

                            Another piece of advice....
Get up off your wallet and order a set of ARP stainless 5/16 (8mm) hex head header bolts.
Makes installing/removing headers a whole lot less frustrating and time consuming.

If you have warped flanges or a turbo car, look at Remflex gaskets. 100% graphite and will conform to just about any imperfection. Great gasket.

I agree that copper RTV works well, but the trick is getting the header in place without fucking up the RTV bead you just laid. Particularly on a turbo car, it's easier said than done.

This is where header studs would come in handy.
