I'm still rocking the stock intake, but I'll hit you up when I put the smax on.

I can't wait until your dumb ass gets pulled over and they put a hook on your car and take it to the crusher.

If that's Dave's t-5 in your car, you might wanna give it back first.

Haha, maybe somtime I'll know why you're so upset. I guess that would come with knowing who you are first. Until then, chill out.

Sure it will. Stock roller cam blocks love spray!

PS, this was a 150 shot on a stock block 347.... with good crank, rods, pistons, and a girdle.

                More pics here.

                Have fun!

There is a big difference between a 347 with a good top end and a stock 302 with e7.

Woody from ford strokers did a write up on what causes the block failure.

It starts at the top and works it's way down, he also said a girdle doesn't add strength where it's needed. The weak part is actually the area where the mains meet the block.

The stress that causes them to start cracking is from rpm. If you keep the rpm low, I'd say below 6200 then it will be a lot stronger and last longer. Look in the pictures where the cam bearings are, you can clearly see the hairline crack. That's where it STARTS.

The stock block is junk, but it does okay for low power, low rpm.

That being said, if it detonates, well then it's Fucked no matter what.

                      That Is from rpm.

Why are you asking us dummies if you already know everything?

So by your own advice, any shot will work as long as you keep it under 6200. Let us know how it works out!

                          Lol. No.

                          A 150 will be okay.

Why did you post up failure of a built 347? When I have a stock 302. Apples to oranges.

Did you miss the thread of people using 300hp shots on stock blocks? I guess they were doing it wrong! I guess they were lucky the rings failed and not the block.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but nitrous wasn't the only cause of failure in that engine.

He reminds me of how 92notch used to be.

Both come to ask a question, and by the end of the thread they are a expert and do it the way they want anyway.

                              Ohmygerd.

That is not the case at all, I came in here asking for suggestions. Not people to come in here saying "you dumb mother fucker I hope your shit blows up and I hope your cat gets towed"

I'm no expert and I've done everything you all have suggested.
