  • Upping the shot, any suggestions?

Currently running a 125hp wet shot. Running autolite 24s gapped at .032, with stock basse timing (+10*). Car runs well.

I now have 150 and 175 jets, so why not?

Should I step down to a colder plug? Back down timing even more?

Will it be fine as is? I know all cars are different and it's a spray and pray deal, but I was just looking for a place to start!

    Thanks!

Put the 150 pills in and have fun. Me and supercoupe ran 175 shots with autolite 24s and the timing at 10 degrees. But they were dry shots. I'm sure you will be fine with the tune up you got. Just keep checking plugs and go from there

Wet shots are safer then dry shots, right? I bet that 175 dry shot was a mean bitch.

Before I do anything I'm going to have to get my bottles filled. :/

do you have a heater and gauge yet? Do those before jetting up man. Make sure everything is optimized on a 125 kit

You dont have a pressure gauge? lmao

I can understand not having a bottle heater, but a pressure gauge is a must. Id feel safe running 150 wet shot on 10 degree's with good fuel.

The 175 i might pull a couple to make it safe, or what i would do this day in age is tune the thing and pull the timing as needed.

I have a bottle warmer, purge and a gauge.

I went to the meet on beech last night and drug an unexpecting srt4 on 35.

I haven't installed the warmer or purge yet but I did put the gauge on. I was at 600psi. So I got my handy dandy hair dryer and got it up to 900-1000psi, wrapped the bottle in an old hoodie and prcoceeded to blow hot air through the sleeve. 3-4 hours later and 5 pulls I was at 700psi. So I guess it worked out well.

I used to set the bottle by the floor vent and turn the heater on high haha. Or a quick stop to any place with hot water. I was happy happy happy when i got a bottle warmer.

My bottle warmer doesn't have an Auto cut off switch. It's all manual, and the gauge is in the trunk. :/ so I'm left with 2 options. Get a gauge to mount in the car it invest in an auto cut off switch.

Or I can look like a chode with my trunk open monitoring bottle pressure.

you'll just learn how long it takes, no need for an auto cut off. I hate those things

                      Why don't you like them?

                      I've never dealt with them.

I like to keep my pressure around 950 to 1000. My 05 gmc truck I had with the escalade front end would pick up two tenths just by bringing the bottle pressure up

Mike mine was in a hatch and i never used the auto shut off crap. I always wired it on a fused switch.

But i could see the gauge from the driver seat. I was happy with around 1000psi of pressure.

1000-1050 psi and a 15 lb bottle is hard to beat unless you have 2 15 lb bottles
