I've seen a lot more than 300 on a stock engine before. Sure it lasts for a little while, but those guys are just having fun killing off their junk shit before putting in the good parts.

I'm almost 100% sure that my initial post was to save for another shortblock (scroll up.......... mmm, yep, it was) and that is still my suggestion now before you kick a rod / hole a piston / split a block. Surely you have one already. You must have a junkyard worth of used up old five-liter parts stashed somewhere to keep that pile driving to work every day.

You're not covering any new ground here, so take the advice or leave it. I saw a friend in college put a 4" deep hole in the street when his supercharged 302 spit a rod through the pan. Don't be a pussy, you can top that!

I ran no nitrous pill in my old coupe. Put tons of bottles through it. Ran 7.1 stock throttle body to oil pan. It had over 200k miles on it and still ran perfect.

Our cars are damn near the same in performance too, not like all the other turd stock foxbodys.
