I'm almost 100% sure that my initial post was to save for another shortblock (scroll up.......... mmm, yep, it was) and that is still my suggestion now before you kick a rod / hole a piston / split a block. Surely you have one already. You must have a junkyard worth of used up old five-liter parts stashed somewhere to keep that pile driving to work every day.
You're not covering any new ground here, so take the advice or leave it. I saw a friend in college put a 4" deep hole in the street when his supercharged 302 spit a rod through the pan. Don't be a pussy, you can top that!
