There's fucking nothing wrong with an older extended cab Chevy. Those backseats have plent of room.

I have never had an issue with Dodge trucks. My dad put 200K on a 94 ram with one transmission, then 170K on a 98 ram with one transmission, but that was his fault because he filled it with Mercon. I had a 97 Dakota with 189K on it and it ran fine. They are prone to suspension problems like bad ball joints.

In contrast, he is driving an 01 F150 King Ranch right now and the tranny croaked at 130K.

        Edit:

The 98 is still in use, racking up miles, I use it as my towing rig. The 5.9L does great pulling an 18' call hauler.

Dodges hold their value way better than Fords, truthfully.
The interiors blow donkey dick, but their motors are sweet.

          *edit. Diesels that is

Owning a dodge is like owning a ford.
You'll just be a Fixed Or Rebuilt Dodge.
Found Road On Dead etc etc.
You want a good quality truck you buy a CHEVY period.
Look at their resale value dating as far back as 1918.

Those newer Duramax powered GM's are hard to beat especially in a fully loaded model with 4 doors and 4wd.

silverado is a good truck. mine developed a crack in the dash near the airbag with 105K on the clock but the rest of it is solid. good power looks decent good resale. the chevy 5.3 has good power and is reliable

My 02 Chevy 1500HD does everything I need it to, it has 214k and it's still quiet, everything works, quad cab, 6.0, and 4l80. Only problem is, it drinks fuel, but that being said it's 100% stock.

I got $20k+ out of my 04 dodge with 180kish miles when it was stolen. On the other end my dads 04 F250 lariat with a V10 couldn't get $5k for.

End result, gas trucks hold shit for value and my dads truck is now the Tapco cover truck for random bullshit an old man would ever need to accessorize a truck with.

get a 96ish f250 I believe thats when they introducded the turbo to the powerstrokes. You can find them for under 7K if you look hard enough in ok shape.

GM trucks are rattle traps... the later half ton stuff is acceptable, but I see GM HD build quality as on par with Dodge build quality honestly. They just come with a shittier engine

The powerstroke has always been turbo, and came out in late 94 as a 95 model. It is direct injection, the 7.3 prior to the powerstroke was indirect injection and either turbo or n/a.
