I am putting together a new bullet for my dad's Dart. I am going to build a big inch deal based on the 440. I am looking at either 4.150 or 4.250 stroke. My question is, how much grinding will be required on a stock 440 block to clearance for that 4.250 crank? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not much ..couple hours will do it
I'm not much for using a stock block for anything intended for a race app
Depends what you are going for , the stock blocks seem to fail @ ..
675-700 hp , high RPM's, keep them under 6500 and lousy tune-ups
Detonation will rattle the crank and bust the webbing and or main caps out
