Gm starting issue 2003 s-10

2003 s-10 about 167k miles. 4 cylinder 5 speed.

Went to deposit money at the bank, came out to leave and the truck wouldn't crank.

There is a buzzing noise under the dash. When I press the BRAKE pedal the buzzing noise goes away, but it still wont start. Dash lights are intermittently dim, occasionally the radio will come on, dash lights are bright, volt guage will read ~13 volts, but it wont turn over.

Turns out the terminal on the positive battery cable is corroded to all hell, was able to clean it up a little and get it cranked

It was quite a relief when it cranked after disconnecting both leads and re-connecting them.

I was planning to upgrade the wires and connections early next year. I guess I should have done it sooner!
