have you guys pushed through a 302? I know 500 HP is the limit, but is there a threshold on the amount of forced induction?

If it is a stock compression motor normally you see guys running 8-10#s and at MOST 12#s which typically puts you with a HCI and boost setup at around the 450-500 rwhp mark.

You wont push more than 11-12 with a 60-70mm on stock long block.

If it was a e85 car you might get some more power out of it, but the heads usually end up being the cause of not being able to push it harder.

Once you get a good/better set of heads on it, your usually at the block threshhold.

          I put down 396/477 through a stock 5.0

Stock heads don't like over 10-12lbs
          One day at a time.

Power, harmonics, rpms and luck. Psi, is just a measure of restriction. I've run 18psi through a stock block and it never split. Check out the stock block cronicles on www.theturboforums.com.

I usually ran about 32-34 psi in my front tires and 30-32 psi in my rear tires, unless I had the drag radials on kill, then I'd put about 15-18 psi in them.

Wait, were we talking about a different psi ?

shit, I was doing it all wrong - my old 302 regularly saw 18-22psi. The new one is seeing somewhere around 32#.
