I would think if it were that much of a problem that OEM cars woudln't be able to use it because of warranty claims bieng through the roof.

I let my car sit for over a year with e85 and it gummed up the fuel filter

Mine is just a steel tank with a sump. All my lines are steel braided too. I thought I had a problem with the carb a while back, but when I pulled it apart, it was "clean as a whistle"

I called RCI on my tank and the foam was not recommended for it

I dunno at this point. With all the reading ive done and the sketchyness of the coop fuel. I might just buy barrels of race fuel.

i think that's smarter since kansas probably has a different winter blend than texas and who knows when they start to change

you can buy e85 from VP and it will be more consistent than what you get at the pump. though you'll be losing any cost benefit if you buy it from VP instead of the pump. if you're buying from the pump and you're tuned to the ragged edge you should be testing it to make sure what you got tuned on is what you're actually running.

                      lthis is a good article:

If it's in a race car, just empty out the sump and run the engine out of fuel to clear the lines. I've stored methanol in the plastic fuel jugs I use over the winter (early November-Mid march) and had no problems with it.
