I noticed this one over on TDS forum....never been a 6.0 fan myself, but doesn't seem to be bad money for one with all the problem areas addressed. http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/...-6-0-a-311218/ . I don't feel nearly as bad about the 6.0's as I used to, and there seems to be some good deals on them these days. As pointed out above, a lot of their issues can be addressed too....the issue is either finding one that has already been fixed, or finding one with enough room in the price to be sure you can address it yourself.

I've owned a number of these trucks over the years and I'd advise to never own one with a gasser in it. If you can't afford the diesel just go with a half ton gasser instead....3/4 or 1-ton gasser will get on your nerves pretty bad.

I'm a bit of an oddball myself....have always loved the OBS Powerstrokes (last of the wing windows! ). I'm on my 4th one right now, a SUPER clean 97' Dually that I stumbled on last summer from an older couple who occasionally hauled a horse trailer between Bridgeport and Austin....they had only put 50K on it in the past 12 years.

I have a 1995 F350 quad cab dually with the 7.3 and manual trans
Has 337xxx miles and pulls as hard as it ever did
                    2wd though.
And with straight exhaust the only noise change I noticed is the really loud turbo whistle now
