Seems like a great engine choice for a classic resto mod.

It was a pretty tough choice for me, I was seriously considering it on the 69.

Though I was going to run a carb and a ford distributor conversion, so it would have been less out of place in the ford engine bay.

I wish ford had a similar affordable engine option.

That isn't huge, underpowered, and can produce decent power for a reasonable price.

Well, its big. ~290hp and can be found for under $500 in the mviii. Might be easier if you are working with a ford that shares some of the same parts, rather than converting or fabing everything.

Though it wouldnt be something you would want to put in a 32 highboy, and wont have anything close to the look desired in any hotrod/ratrod.

                      That is the plan.

Just gotta drive the hour and a half and start wrenching.

If i was in dfw id have no problem finding the stuff i need.

Im in the middle of Kansas where the closest wal-mart is over a hour away in any direction.

Ford motors are non existent up here. Its like the 5.0 didnt sell in this part of the state. Only 80's irocs did.

the quadcam 4.6 isnt affordable. its huge torqueless and it has way to many parts on the front of it. you can get a stock lsx add cam intake exhaust and make way more power.
