The shaft that the throwout bearing rides on is scared really bad and the pilot bearing is junked. I've heard that the late t45 ('99+) and tr3650s have to have the entire bellhousing replaced in order to replace that piece.

Is this true? If so, it will probably be cheaper to just buy a new trans.

The later T45 housing doesn't have a servicable guide tube. You would have to find another housing.

no kidding. tremec blows all together though

Well, it could be removed, so we are replacing the shaft and bearing.

The tube was serviceable? If so, you must have a long tube housing not the short tube housing.

<- doesn't know all about transmissions

I guess it was, because it could be pulled easily. Is tremec the best place to purchase that shaft from? I'd go with the steel one, because it'll last longer

Tremec offers a guide tube but they are expensive. I would go with an after market version that can be found on Ebay for about $90.

As long as it'll last well I'll go with that. Thanks
