Stock or not, on a 300 shot its not if but when you are going to split the factory block. On top of that, you're going to need the proper camshaft, heads and intake to really be able to use that much nitrous. I know a guy who use to spray 250 on his mostly stock 302 engine but the car would have went much faster with less nitrous and the proper top end.

220 dry shot on a stock 5.0? With 19lb injectors and stock fuel pump?

We used to throw JY motors in stupid light coupes with a carb and plate kit in the 250 range pretty often.

Blow the rings out, grab a $90 rebuild kit and do it again. Trash the bearings, do it again.

Hell, a dude named Sean from this area put a metric shit ton of nitrous in a few stages to a 460 he snatched from the JY and ran 8.80 in the 1/4 until he split that block.

I am getting ready to test this myself Mike . I have a fresh stock bottom end I am getting ready for my 79 cobra . It will have a carb plate and a fogger on an rpm air-gap intake with afr 165's . It will not have a stock cam but the rest of the short block is stock parts .
