  • Aftermarket clutch quadrant

Do aftermarket clutch quadrants increase the rate that they release the clutch but require more leg force to release? My car has a quadrant and a friends car has all of the stock equipment but we have the same clutch and mine is probably twice as hard to release.

Yes it can. Depending on how large the quadrant is, if it is smaller then stock then it will release quicker and be stiffer. Think in terms of pulleys. What cable do you have? If anything other then OEM ford, replace it with a for cable.

Lubricate or replace your cable. Stock is best.

I have a motorsport cable. Anything wrong with them?

Run some 10w30 down the cable. I just did mine this weekend. Oil makes a BIG difference on pedal feel.
