Being the stage 3+ disc is made of a carbon metallic material, i suspect an improper break in is causing your problems. These types of clutches need to be broken in correctly or these types of issues will arise.

McLeod is also a great choice of clutch, although they tend to be a little pricy.

I've run a lot of different clutches in mine. For moderate power I liked the Centerforce DF or Spec Stage 2.
For more power I've run a Ram twin disc and a McLeod street twin. I like them both but for a street driven car the McLeod was a little more friendly.

My Spec2 has been great for my 04 w/ a V2, although it does have a light chatter at low rpms when its cold

I'm interested to hear what is wrong with yours Brandon. I expect its actually torn up, but still functioning.
Lol it's prob trashed. I had to install a quadrant and firewall adj just to get some pedal back .... It's got about 45k on it.

When I took my 1st spec out of the box it had loose rivets on the pressure plate. It's prob just my damn luck.

Spec 3+ never had a problem. There is a thin line between slip and grab, but it has never chattered.

I run a spec stage 3 and it holds enough to run 6.70's and I can still drive it on the street.

I had another spec stage 3 clutch that was great until I was messing with my suspension and wheel hopped real bad, it broke 2 springs and the rear diff.

My last spec 3 was like a on off switch and took awhile to get used to it without killing the car in the mcdonalds drive thru! I ran a ram with stock pressure plate on my blower car and it felt stock and never had any problems. Just really depends on what you like.

I had a spec 3+ with the lightweight pressure plate in my turbo fox and it was great! My new car has a textralia exoskel clutch in it.
