on boost? Oh, well then you are going to need a brick under the skinny pedal to keep the trans alive.

My modded t5 has taken a beating behind my 400rwtq 351w. I blew the 3rd gear cluster up after a year or so behind this engine. Rock solid now though. Wasn't that expensive to rebuild and mod it.

Ive been through quite a few T-5s and Ive learned that more of them break between shifts (syncronizers) than they do under a lot of hp.

Yeah, they are most likely to fail under power in first gear or on a shift. I once sheared every tooth off of the 3rd gear sprocket on a 2-3 shift.

I had a few go bang when I let the clutch off after a shift. I blew up a few going into second gear, I blew one up IN second gear, and one of the most hilarious was when I didn't notice I blew my T5 up. I was racing a 900 on in the middle of nowhere, I was at the top of third gear and it popped out of gear and I saw my shift light. I was with a girl so I didn't think anything of it, thought it was weird it popped out of gear, so I put it in fifth and drove another 30 miles or so, I hit traffic on 820 near rufe snow, when I pulled it out of fifth to put it into third I heard everything inside the transmission fall apart and pour out, then it sounded like a wood chipper. I've also blown one up in reverse, just put a new T5 in my car, had oil on my boots, I revved it up to back out of my garage and my foot slipped off the clutch and it broke the tranny.

Nothing worse than the sound of pouring a hand full of nuts and bolts into a blender, lol

LOL, I know exactly the experiences you mention. Yeah, there are lots of other ways they can pop, too.

Probably a while since the clutch will be spinning.
