Monday I'm picking up an Explorer 8.8 that I'm about to put under my 68 Mustang. 3.73, rear disc and all that. My question is what all do I need to take with it, and more importantly, are there any little issues I might run into with this swap? Like stupid crap that I might not think about?
Obviously the spring brackets will be moved. I was thinking of taking the brake cables and all the mounting hardware like the u bolts and and plates and all that. Any thing else I'm forgetting? Any tips?
A rear disc, traction lock, 3.73, 31 spline axle differential is going to be a great upgrade for this car considering I now have a drum brake 8" with 3.25's and a traction lock that doesn't work anymore.
