  • Tire size check

I want to stay runnin my black 10 holes but eventually need to get some better tires as mine are dry rotted. I want to get some DR for the rear and I don't care wha brand (BFG, MT, Nitto). Currently I have front and back 225/60/15. What's the widest non-retarded looking rear size I could get?

I've seen lots of people squeeze a 275/60 on 10 holes but I think it looks goofy. 255/60 would be about as big as I would go with.

255/60 is a 27 inch tall tire. will fill out the gap well. It will fit the rim better than the 275/60

What about 275/50-15? Looks to be the same tire height but about 2 inches wider tread.

Thats where you will run into trouble on a 10 hole. Not a wide enough rim for even a 10inch tread width. Pooches out.

              255/60-15 MT Drag radial

Can't find the 265/50-15 TA anymore or I would recommend it.

your rims are only 7inch wide tan, M/T recomends 8inches for a 275 so like what so many of your lovers say, you are coming up a lil short. buy these

they are good summer style street tires, supposed to hook as good as the Mickeys, perform better on slick roads and rain, and they are a lil cheaper too. they will be plenty big for your setup. they are what im buying next for my 85

Negative on the SS Drag Radials, especially in the rain. Worst handling dr in the wet I've ever had the displeasure of driving on. They hook like a bitch when it's dry though!

Tanner , You can run a 275/50/15 on the 10 holes . That is what Josh has on his and with the way you use the car buy Nitto 555r's .

just go with the 235/60's tanner, they are MORE than enough for your power level and there is even a class out there for racers on 235's running 9's in the 1/4

I think they are in the 8's now on that tire. It looks funny though haha.
