  • Who has some Cobra front brakes they want to sell me?

So I had planned on buying a full cobra front brake setup from Vatozone and just eating the Core charge as they are cheaper than anything else I have found and it seems some people on Corral did the same thing with good results. Sadly, they said yesterday they don't know how long it will be till they can get some in stock... If I can't find a decent deal on a used setup I will just pay the extra money for the LRS SVE conversion.

So... I am looking for either some Cobra/Mach 1 13in brakes or maybe even some 11in PBRs to use for now and then upgrade to larger 13/14 in brakes next year. Who wants to sell me some? I already checked with Whiteboy and he is out of stock it seems.

I've got rotors from aCids cobra that he'd probably let go at my house. He switched to an ssbc setup and these are still in good shape.

would have to be cheap... I can get new rotors for $34 each and those won't be near as hard to find. Not that I'm not interested, just that I will pay a little more for new if it isn't a great deal.

Sorta, when I bought the spindles it came with 95 calipers, rotors, and what was left of the pads. Basically the brakes were thrown in for free so I tried to use them. Unfortunately, I have replaced everything on the brake system except the calipers/rotors and I still cannot get the brakes to bleed up properly. The calipers were pretty rusted, crappy looking and I took a shot to try and get them working but have decided they are crap.

The master cylinder I got from you didn't leak, but I replaced it with a reman from autozone and it got way better... I never could get any pedal pressure at all with the one I got from you. Not a big deal, but I have just decided screw it, I want this thing done and drivable. Hell, you built a race car in less time than it has taken me to redo the brakes.

I had planned to when I Was gonna get the cobra calipers from them, but since they can't get them right now that plan is out. I was only gonna use these till next spring anyways when I was gonna upgrade to cobra brakes, but I am just going to do it right the first time now.

I could do reman calipers of the same type and new rotors and pads for like $150 total but then will waste that money when I eventually do the Cobra brakes anyways, so I really don't want to go that route.

                      You call oreilys?

Oh, and pay the core, take them home, put the gt calipers in the box, go get your core money back.

That was the plan, yes, Oreily's was pretty much the same deal, special order only, no time line, and costs almost as much as the LRS kit without pads (LRS kit has pads for $350 with calipers and brackets). I am still trying to call Napa and get them to answer the phone, last time it just rang and rang.

I work at the Oreilly's on McCart and we can have them on monday. Basic 95 cobra calipers. Only drawback it they dont say "Cobra" on them. Not sure if thats a big deal or not
