Making Transponder keys (locksmith question)

Working at the car lot with my dad and was trying to think of ways of saving some money here and there.. We have a machine that cuts keys and can do normal keys and VATS keys.

However we can not do the transponder style keys and we have to take those over to locksmith and they charge $60+ for each key. where the basic keys are only 1 or 2 dollars.

My question is if Any one knows of what software or hardware is needed to make these keys and where to find it.. I have done a few searches and only find locksmith sites but no other information.

You can buy the keys for approx $7ea but if you only have one you'll still need the computer. I don't know where to get that.

The locksmith is the cheap way, they are able to make a key and give it the signal of the one you have. The dealer is the expensive route where they wipe they wipe the computer and reprogram with all available keys.

Im not sure how well something like this will work as I have only used Ford dealer tools
