        2-98 cams will give me about 20rwhp undegreed, many people have done it. I will have mine degreed regardless, it'll give me a little more power and a better curve.
        3-for an extra 15-20 hp, the cost for the comp cams is stupid...plus low end torque will probably be sacrificed. 1,200 bucks?

        There are two other people I know of that did this exact build but w/o degreeing their cams (why not? idk) and they are both at 345-351rwhp

          Well if you think the 98 cams will give you 20rwhp with out degreeing them you go for it but I will bet you $20 they don't. Dyno the car before and afterwards. I put a set of 98 cams in a guys Mach1 that is on here and his car lost rwhp and tq because they weren't degreed. Well if you don't buy the kooks at least get the hookers that way you can pull the trans if you need to do a clutch job. The comp cams 106100's are provens cam for N/A cars that don't require springs.

            There is no way I'd put in the 98 cams w/o degreeing them...too much work to prove a point or be proven wrong

            I've seen guys make high 350 low 360 #'s with those comp cams...I'm just too poor for those. The 98 cams are the cheapest part of my build

              Well I hope you are pulling the motor because you can't degree the cams with the motor in the car. You can degree the intake cam but you have to first degree the exhaust cam and get it were you want it to be before you even touch the intake cam. And you can't get the dial indicator where it needs to be on the exhaust cam. JFYI

                  motor will come out when the kmem is being swapped out. I want to do all of the things I can while I have excuse to and the ease of access.

                    The degree/not degree debate is neither here nor there. I WILL have them degreed no matter what, not doing so is just plain dumb.

                    ex: I did not know that the trans could be dropped with hooker headers, unlike the macs. Stuff like that saves my ignorant ass

                      I say throw a eaton on it..... Easy and 450rwhp with ease and be a fuck ton more fun.

                      They can be found for cheap.. I've seen them done for under 1,000

                              Not really I know Gearheads built some eaton setups with out running the Cobra front pulley setup and timing cover. They had some custom tensioner or something made so it could run with the stock timing cover. The only thing needed was the blower intercooler setup cooling system, HX, and some other little parts. Call Travis or Matt they can tell you more about it. It didn't cost very much at all. BTW stay away from the under drive pullies...

                                I've heard some bad things about every UDP kit besides the steedas. Piggy backs are ticking time bombs for sure.
                                Have you seen bad stuff happen to motors with steedas?
