  • air filter options

Ok, I'm about to do install some mods on the mach and do some routine "tune up" work. What air intake should I use? I haven't really looked into this at all. I have a CAI kit in the garage, but I'm really not a fan of those or how they look.

Stock air filter, K&N box filter (worth it?), or BBK CAI kit?

Oh, and the kmem will be swapped out along with the transmission & exhaust. Are there any items that should be changed out now besides motor mounts?

On the thread topic, I''ve used a C&L CAI with good results for the past 7 years or so, with their larger than stock MAF housing, but I've also heard nothing but good things about the JLT too that's already been recommended.

I found a used one for half the price (on a budget build to achieve 340-350 rwhp)...it is for a 99-01 cobra. It should be identical though, correct?

One caveat, it will fit but I assume you will be disabling or removing the shaker......
