  • Lowered '10 GT.....

Let me preface with saying I did a search on here and Google and came up with a couple things, but I wanted to see if anyone on here had some direct info........

I put some springs (only, no panhard just yet) on my 2010 GT and it all went smoothly, even put on the Camber bolts....however, now there is a popping/rattling in the front. From what I can hear, it sounds like maybe the sway bar/end links may be binding a little when I hit any kind of bump. It isn't bottoming out, it's even the smallest bumps. From what I've read, I may need to replace the spring perches in the front to GT500 ones and that has helped in some situations.

I know there are some lowered '11's in here, but wasn't sure if anyone has had these problems.

    Thanks in advance......

I used the Eibach Pro Kit (springs only, no panhard, no new mounts, no camber bolts, etc) and mine rides like stock with no weird noises. It's only a 1" drop though.

I've read it's hit or miss with the strut mounts. I would have gone with camber plates or better strut mounts.
Also if you've ever removed/replaced your front swaybar make sure it's torqued to spec or it will make popping noises also.

Sounds like the top strut nut is not torqued properly.

Could definitely be the sway bar end links. You don't normally have to loosen the sway bar mounts (on the chassis) so if you left them alone, they shouldn't be rattling.

I also have the Pro Kit. I did leave the mounts alone on the chasis itself and didn't replace the sway bar yet either. I did also read that the top nut could also be the issue, but it's hard to get that bolt torqued correctly so that very well could be it.

Before I put the camber bolts in, the front tires wore to hell on the inside, so I didn't have a choice with those, unless I wanted to keep buying new tires.
