The converter wasn't in all the way, it screwed up the pump and the output shaft has alot of play in it. So I'm going to go through it.

LOL yeah true, it was overfilled and the damn pilot bearing was stuck on the converter along with the flexplates bolt pattern stamped on the end.

I referred a friend to Mike to look at some issues with a TH-200 based on the recommendations from this board. The friend was happy with the work performed.

What pilot bearing ? A converter wont seat against the flexplate if the bering is still in the crank . I can see him over filling it and that is probably why he always thought it had a leak but I drove it with that trans and it worked great . I think the output fix is a good idea . My budy Derek rebuilt his AOD with just a book for instruction and if he could do it I am sure you and pops can get it perfect .

Its probably not the pilot bearing but you can see the a bolt pattern stamped on the end lol. It doesn't look like its that hard to rebuild. I figured I should do it anyway for more power down the road.

I'm just going to replace the pump, hopefully its okay, and take a look at the output shaft. I'm going to put alto clutch packs, hardened input shaft, and little misc parts in it to make it stronger.
