91 lx 5.0 kinda stumped on this pos

Car belongs to a friend of mine son. Been sitting for 7 years while he's been in prison, lol.. It is way ugly and needs a bunch of work. I pulled the tank, cleaned it, advised to put a pump in but he didn't have $$ and it was working. car started and actually ran/idled pretty good. Then the fkn pump quit next day.
I put one in this morning, now this pos starts and revs up to 2800 rpm or so. Burping pedal does nothing and cable at TB isnt sticking and verified at idle stop,and no cel. I'm thinking some trash in TB.
And 1 more question, they lost the door/trunk key, can dealer cut old shit per vin? Or am I better off yanking a lock and taking it to locksmith.

Personally, I would start by cleaning the IAC, TB, and MAF and see where that gets you. if you absolutely have to, adjust the throttle stop on the TB to bring the revs back down and see where that gets you.

as for the locks, the cheapest route would probably be to replace door and trunk locks. super easy to do.

Kinda what I was thinking, just weird after just fuel pump change. As for the keys... Shit I never gave changing them all out a thought. I'll have them all out anyways after getting it to run, for paint.... Gave him a stupid price to strip it and paint and he bit. Thx for the tip!

That's what I was planning on, but have to weigh price difference in just changing locks.
Last time the little punk was here, I had the tank out and trunk open, it's when he told me they lost key, told him I got it open with a crowbar, lol....apparently 7 years of prison buttfucking makes you forget the glove box button.

Oh yea that filter had so much shit in it, it was rattling. I did figure this out first thing this morning.....get this, the fkn dizzy was loose and somehow got bumped. No telling what else I'll find on this turd.

I would replace all of the IAC & new PCV & put in new plugs & along with wires & replace the module on the side of the Dist & run some 93 Octane, I would also change the oil & Pull the TB off & clean it out of all the muck with some brake cleaner
