I'm sure that's happened, and probably on every manufacturer out there - but I've yet to see it on any of the UPR stuff I've dealt with.

I always look at fab work, welding and machine work -it's just what I do. On my car, there's not a single missed joint and no failures.

Again not saying it didn't or can't happen, I've just never seen it.

I purchased UPR for mine (being installed on my 99 now), it went right in with no fitment issues what so ever and it looks well built to me.

For all UPR I use this vendor in The Corral
Has the best prices I found, even cheaper than me going to UPR when I lived in FL.

I just went from a mild steel Ground Pounder tubular k-member and a-arm setup with Mark VII brakes/spindles to an AJE chromoly k-member with aerospace brakes. I don't know the exact weight savings just yet, but I would bet 60-80 lbs just by how it felt picking up the two. I can tell you the AJE k-member, a-arms, with the Aerospace Brakes and spindles on it weighed only 88 lbs all together.

The old setup, Groundpounder Mile Steel tubular with Mark VII stock style 5 lug brake setup...

The new setup, AJERacing Chromoly with stock motor mount plates...

why are the lower control arms not adjustable to swing the lower BJ fore and aft to get caster correct as well as wheelbase?

I see what you're saying, but not everything is a race car. /shrug.

NHRA rule is 1" different on wheelbase, stagger the fronts and they stay in the staging beams longer gaining a head of steam. all sorts of things can be done with wheelbase.

I have a UPR in my 93 hatch went on with no issue. Been on car for about 3 years now. On 89 coupe I have a QA1, which did move my wheels forward but was lighter than the upr k member . Either one will do what you want to do with your car.
