  • Tubular K Member Kits

Anyone have a hook on them? I've been looking at these two kits:

    QA1
    http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-q...er-kit-94.html

    Chrome Moly
    http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-p...er-kit-94.html

I'm not doing anything crazy with the car, so if the QA1 will get the job done that's what I'll go with.
I already got Strange 10 way adjustable struts, just need to figure out a K member and I'm good to go.

Just to add to this, I know Maximum Motorsports is the best, but I'm not going to spend the money on it.
This car might get 100 miles a month on it between the street and track.

i may be wrong but I think both the QA1 and M/M K-members move the front tire 1 1/2" forward..So the tire is no longer centered in the wheel well and it will look a little funky

The UPR K-member says that it does NOT alter the wheel base so I would go with that one

little more expensive, but better parts IMO and the ability to swap mounts for whatever engine you may decide to go to in the future without changing the entire front end

plus you can find dist. on corral that will sell these kits at a good discount

From what I've read that problem usually happens when you run stock control arms. Everything I've seen says the K member with their control arms sits in the right spot. I'll do more research on it though.

          Thanks

I have a brand new MM K-member and A-arms for sell if you're interested. With the wheels sitting forward you can do .75", 1.5", or leave them in the stock location. Also you can't run stock control arms with a MM K.

I ran the AJE kit and it was ok but it cracked in a couple of places after about 2 years. I replaced it with a full PA Racing setup and I haven't had any issues since.

UPR is knock-off junk. Do yourself a favor and stay away from it.

I'm taking a hard look at the Team Z kit right now.

People that go fast, use AJE, just saying.

I've been pretty fast and have a UPR.

It fit absolutely perfect, no prying to get the bolts to line up, no slotting the holes.... nothing.

At this point in the fox (assuming that's what it is) industry, everything is a knockoff of something that's already been done years ago. Remember, they are now ~20years old.

Thats great Brooks. I have had mine on my car for over 7 years, been on the road course a few times, down the 1/4 and been on trips throughout Texas, no problems.
