  • Cleaning MAF

    Let's say a buddy of mine over oiled his K&N for years not realizing that it could mess up the MAF. Now my buddies car has a little "stutter" when you give it just a little gas but if you lay into it then all is well. I assume this could be a couple of things but based off my experience it could be a dirty MAF or even a bad one. What you ya'll suggest? 99GT by the way


    Example: If you unplug your MAF and drive the car not only do you get looped up off the gas fumes but the car doesn't drive so well unless you're on it. Same thing here except the MAF is plugged in....

    Well, start with pulling the codes to see what's going on.
    Best way to clean the MAF is with a can of Mass Air Sensor cleaner. Cheap at most parts stores and WallyWorld.
