.6 would be 6 tenths of an inch, no?
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

they key is, if we are talking inches, it has to be based on a foot, which there are 12 inches in a foot. now you are talking tenths which does not equate. 12 and ten are not equal numbers, you have to convert your tenths in to feet and inches to get back on scale

                        Well lets see...

1/10th of a foot would be 1.2 inches.

                        1.2 inches x .6 = .72 inches. .72 is .03" less than 3/4 of an inch...

That may not be right, but fuck it, i'm tired...

this is all really superficial, i just asked how the young man came up with the number of .6, i get irked when people give me .'s in the building trades
i already did that for you. but the way i do it is divide .6 by 10, then multiply that number by 12
