The Mach's clutch cable stretched out a little bit after the tranny swap and wasn't fully disengaging. I bought a factory cable and am about to install it, but what I am wondering is whether or not I should just go stock.

A friend of mine has a new firewall adjuster that he has sitting in his garage that I can pick up free. Should I purchase an adjustable cable and an aluminum quadrant?

Also, will the firewall adjuster work on a stock cable? I'm cheap

Save yourself the trouble and just buy this one:

I've been where you are, and didn't do what I just said... ended up having to do it anyways.

The local Ford parts department guy always gives me the parts "at-cost" and an OEM cable costs the same as the MM.
      Thanks for the link!

None of the ones I used were long enough to work properly... that's why I ended up with the MM cable.
